If you have the dash plate that should have the vin # on it. Try http://www.specialtyparts.com/vins/cj2avin.htm it should give you alittle vin info on willys. Hope this helps.

 

there should be two places on a 2a that has the serial number
1)a tag on the firewall
2)stamped on the frame on the passengers side in the engine compartment by there the toe-board from the body mounts. NOTE this one will have not be able to be seen because of 1/2" of dirt on it but just get a wire brush
