I am replacing my rusted out steel brake lines, and need new. I don't want to spend $160 on a new set from classic tube or inline tube. I have been unable to find tubing locally in the correct length, and it doesn't come with the spiral wrap, plus the flaring tool is $40 by it self. Any ideas?

Any auto parts store will have pre-made lengths available, just measure what you need, and bend to fit. True, they don't have the spiral wrap, but all that did was hold moisture and mud causing the lines to rust that much quicker.

Local auto parts. all day long in 2,3,4,5,6,8 foot lengths. Not long enough but two together. i did my whole jeep $33.00

If you have an autozone near, they will let you "borrow" the flaring tool. Simply put a deposit down when you pick up the tool and you get a full refund when you return it (in one piece of course!) Get you about 20' of line and some fittings and go for it!
