Just in case anyone was worried about running out of stuff to do, I have been stockpiling projects on my sami in the last bunch of days.
I was first on the signup sheet for my YJ SPUA swap with M/Ls on all four corners. That's pretty straightforward except for having to add in rear extended brake line (already did the fronts) and fab up lower shock mounts. I should have a pair of the ford type front upper mounts and a sky mfg upper rear mount by then to put in, as well. I also ordered a second set of Rough country add-a-leafs for extra lift. They will be here this week.
The other part of my projects was to put in the welded diff i have. I decided to get a cool new trail tough minispool instead, so that's coming by wednesday. I also sprang for a set of the SJ410 backing plates since we will be back there tearing all that stuff apart for the spool it seemed like a good time to do that mod.
In case that stuff wasnt enough, I have the trail tough GM alternator bracket on the way with the spool and already have the 86 malibu alt sitting on my bench (thanks for the hint CTBrent!)
And then there's the muffler and tailpipe that needs replacing. I already have those parts, too.
AND if don't get it in by then, we can always swap out my leaky gas tank.
Since a lot of this is happening in the rear, maybe we can put in the rear upper shock mount while the exhaust and gas tank are out, then put stuff back in layers. A little extra working room never hurts.
