My parking brake broke

i have a 1998 cheroke 4.OL 6 cylinder and the parking brake button and spring broke off the lever... i was wondering where i could find a replacement part or if i could use a 1989 cherokee parking brake lever for my 89... any Help please

The same thing happened to my brothers old '93. We found a replacement in a local junkyard. I think the '96-'01 parking brake levers are different in appearance than the '84-'95 versions. I do not know if they interchange.
