This is a truck that my cousin Chris and I have been working on for some time now, and it is finally starting to take shape. The axles are 2 1/2 ton GMC, the T-case is 2 1/2 ton GMC, the transmission is a straight 5 speed (no overdrive), the tires are Armstrong Industrial Tractor tires, 48" x 19.5 x 24 in size. For now we have 69 350 in it for initial testing, but will be going to a built 500 Cadillac sometime next year (hopefully). It was built primarily as something to have fun in the mud with.
If you want to see some of the first stages of the build up, you can check them out at http://muddog.off-road.ws

Honestly now.... Have you thought this thing through? I want to know what kind of Tcase/Tmission you are going to use to turn those giant pig axles.... not to mention the tires!!

Are those bricks between the rear leafs and the axle?

Are you going to use a rock ram or just a rudder to turn it?

Not to mention..... How the hell you get in that thing?

Damnit Man! Some Details!

Yes sir, ShaneB, we have thought this through, it has a GMC 2 1/2 ton transfercase, and a straight 5 speed trans from a C65 5 ton truck. The axles have 6:17 gears, and those are the spring pads between the rear leafs and the axle (they are welded to the axle). It has hydraulic assist from the C65. And as far as getting in, that is the last thing we are worried about. /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif
