MSD install question

My setup is a 82 CJ-7, I am replacing the stock 258 with a 401 with tfi upgrade. i want to incorporate a MSD 6A module. does this replace the stock duraspark module? The MSD instructions show two wires hooking into the factory coil connector then two wires going to the coil. Don't the wires from the factory coil connector come from the duraspark module?

You can hook it up two ways. Using the factory ignition to trigger it through the white wire or using the purple and green wire to get a signal straight from the distributor and unhook the factory ignition. The latter one is the one I did.
