MSD install question

My setup is a 82 CJ-7, I am replacing the stock 258 with a 401 with tfi upgrade. i want to incorporate a MSD 6A module. does this replace the stock duraspark module? The MSD instructions show two wires hooking into the factory coil connector then two wires going to the coil. Don't the wires from the factory coil connector come from the duraspark module?

3. Why you enable the OEM ignition...
4. And disable the MSD ignition.
5. It's a little piece of insurance.
