I had to remount the glass tub on my CJ5 as the previous owner had it 2" too far back. I found some 3/4" thick x 2" dia (approx.) rubber bushings at NAPA (not sure what they were intended for), put them between the body and the frame, slipped a very short piece of heater hose through the hole in the frame, and put a thinner (1/4" thick) rubber washer underneath. A bolt all the way through with fender washers on each end (note that it the bolt touches no metal), and I've had no problems at all.
