It is Spectre PN 2428 @ $16.99...
It just bolts right to the corner of the carb bracket.

I found the above quote while doing a search and I wanted to see if anyone has used this linkage. Also is Spectre a parts store or is it a brand name. IE can I go to Autozone or NAPA and ask for this part number? I know that there are numerous ways to make brackets and linkages, I am just checking out my options.

Spectre is a manufacturer. I believe I've seen their stuff at AutoZone. Look around for the area that has the fancy chrome engine dress-up stuff.

I bought that Spectre part# at Autozone and it didn't work for me. I wound up making a flat plate and using 2 ball fittings for the linkage connection. On the Carter I had, the linkage pulled down, and on the MC2100, the linkage pulls backwards. I can't remember who's link it was that showed a picture of the plate, but do a search on the MC2100 swap and you'll probably find it. But save your money as far as the Spectre kit. Just my .02 cents.

I made a small metal plate and bolted it to the existing throttle arm with two small machine screws. The plate extends rearward to allow you to use the existing linkage that pulls downward. I used a linkage ball that I bought at the auto parts store, and had to turn it down in a drill press to make it fit the smaller jeep size.

Now that I'm running a TBI system, I changed to a direct linkage that pulls rearward. I used two bolt holes on the manifold to bolt down a piece of angle iron that extends laterally. I welded to it the small square piece that the throttle cable snaps into. There's a "spare" one that is used for automatic transmissions and you can cut it off your jeep. At least there was on my 80 eagle engine.

Thanks Everyone for the heads up and Tim thank you for the write up you did. I am going to build the flat plate bracket. So my last debate is the manual choke setup that I will use.
