No Tach so that kill that!
I will check the pedel and the cable this weekend if i have a chance. Finals are coming up and school is a priority. I am glad you are treating me like i don't know anything Brad, because, I pretty much don't know anything about how i should go about this. So thank you for being discriptive. I like your son know what's going on with fuel injection but not to carb savvy. I just got my shop book in the mail so maybe that will help also. With the book and you guy's i think i will be ok. Thanks for all the help

Kevin

I have a 225ci engine with a cracked block in a jeepster. I was wondering what engine would be a good replacement and what vehicles I could find the prospective engine in. Thank you to anyone who can help.

Almost any 231 V6 in a early 80's chev/buick will slip right in. I took one out of an 81 Camaro and everything bolted right in.

Anyone need a complete 225? I have the one out of mine, has a minor knock that a crank kit would probably fix. $150.00 obo...(Sorry for the hijack...)

Bore only as big as you have to. And don't let them sell you something over the standard size (if needed at all) unless they can show you their reason to do so. You are not looking for power here, just reliability. Increasing bore size will not increase torque in any measurable amounts, but will certainly decrease the options next time you rebuild. As well, standard sizes are usually cheaper to buy when rebuilding or overhauling, although the price difference will be minimal.

Head in the sand...
