Whats the difference between the mpi systems on 90 and older vs. 91 and newer...Dont care about difference's in connectors and trivial stuff. But rather more significant changes such as censors used. different computer setups and things more technical. Thanks

To be honest, I didn't think there was an MPI on the pre 91 engines. I thought they were all carbed prior to that date.

It's ALL good!
The pre 91 MPI had an anti knock sensor. The newer one has a speed sensor. The older has a computer that needs to be mounted inside. They were manufactured by different companies.

The throttle body is different. The intake on the newer one does not need hot air supplied from the exhaust manifold for smog purposes.

You can use dealer items, like a Wrangler throttle cable, instead of modifying the existing bracket.

CPS sensor must be bellhousing mounted in the older MPI. The Mopar dampener will not work. It is not a big deal. The bellhousing ran me $340 delivered.

That is about all that I can think of right now.
