More AIR

Alright peoples, this is something new I've been workin on and I want to know if it will work. I've been tryin to find a supercharger type system for my 94 Zuk but can't find one. I was thinking about hooking a 3" blower (used on boats) up to the intake so I could push more air into the intake. The blower produces 170 cfm open flow. Will this help or am I wasting my time?

Well, the little zuk 1.3 doesn't actually move that much air through it. At highway speeds, assuming 4500 rpm and a standard volumetric efficiency I calculate that it requires only about 88 CFM through the carb.

If you wanted to run a modest 6psi boost with your super-charger it would require about 145 CFM, if everything else was the same. So 170 CFM is actually pretty useful for a motor of this size.

Another question to ask is if your blower would actually flow 170 CFM with a back pressure. Maybe it only flows this much but won't produce any pressure?
