I'm pulling the Trak-Lok out of my 85 CJ7, and I was figuring on rebuilding and putting it on the shelf (replacing it with a locker). But,
I've been finding out the clutches and springs for the factory Model 20 Trak-Lok are no longer available, I've tried Randy's, Rosser,
and Hicks. Anyone have a source for these parts, I don't want to just throw it out. I've rebuilt the Ford version before, it's not that
much of an effort.

Brad: I think I have an AMC20 Trac-loc with 3.54 gears and carrier somewhere in the garage that I'll sell. I can't say what shape the clutches are in although the trac-loc was still working when I pulled it out from underneath my CJ7. Let me know if your interested. BTW, I'll be in your "neck of the woods" (Pagosa Springs & Taos) October 14-22 if you want me to bring it.

Thanks for the offer Shain, but it turns out that 4WD Hardware does in fact have the clutches, only $58. So, for that price I'm just
going to rebuild it and put it up in case it may ever come in handy. (If you are going to be over this way, get in touch.)

Re: Model 20 Factory Trak-Lok parts - Hey Shain

Will that Trac-Lok & carrier work with 4.10 gears?

Yes, look under FOR SALE
I am selling one with new clutches for $100
I would be interested in selling just the carrier.
listed under 70'S CJ DRIVELINE PARTS CHEAP

Chris: I don't know for sure. Pigpen may very well be right, I just don't know whre the carrier break is on the AMC 20s. I thought 3.73s on down required a different carrier, but I may be thinking of the Dana30s. Maybe someone can clear that up.
