I will be having my new 4:10 gears put in the front end of my 84 cj7 mod 30 front axel. What price range should I be looking at just for labor? all the parts and install kit I already have.

$200 to $250 is as low as i've seen,
i would shop for a place that does gear changes alot, not for the lowest price.

I agree with the advice on choosing experience. My buddy is a mechanic and did my d30 r&p swap, and said if I broke it, to do a d44 or 9" swap because he never wants to see another d30 again. I guess they are a lot of labor to swap compared to most anything else. Don't forget the inboard axle seals...
