Mean Green Starters???

Hey Guys,

I have an 84CJ7. I just got home from wheeling today after installing a 304 motor. (I had a great time)

Every time I go wheeling I kill a starter or two. I am wheeling in water, mud, mud and even more mud.

I was hoping that the new motor would help the problem but it didn't.

My question is about the Mean Green Starters. Any experience with them? I know one guy in my club who has one and it lasted a good 6 months. They have a 2 year warranty and they sent him at new one.

Its a lot of money for a starter but if it last 6 months its worth it...

Thanks.

I believe it was Ethan that posted a msg a few weeks back about JC Whitney selling Starters that are manufactured by Mean Green for less than 200 bucks. Do a search on this post for "Mean Green". I think the warranty from the JC Whitney catalog is 1 year and from Mean Green it's 2 years. Check it out and let us know what you find. Good luck.

My question is about anyone who has one and if they are having any problems with them or not. Are they my answer to my problem>? Thanks.

Obviously I can't answer your question, I just thought that if you decided to get one maybe you could save some bucks.

Sorry about that.

Good luck.
