Anybody over here on this board had any luck making their own cantilever style rear shackles
like the ones that Hypershackle is selling for $160 a pair? I'd like to make my own if I could rather
than shell out the $$.

Look at some of the past threads. Some of them talk about using a chevy shackle and making a stop. it combined with your jeep shackel and the stop makes the same thing as a hypershackle.

those are basically quarter elliptical springs with a revolver component...slick and well thought out, but I always thought the point of revolver shackles was to do away with 1/4 ellip. That way you don't have to worry about the spring shifting on the frame and the instability you can get. Just a thought
