no. rubber isnt the propper hardness, and the trad patern is not right. i run them through michigan winters, but winter tires offer more traction

I'll agree with u4ia4. They will not be as good as a genuine winter tire, but you can make them a lot better than the stories go.

I've got a set of Mud Kings on my Ranger. Spent all of this winter in Michigan and most of it in Traverse City up north. We get plenty of snow and ice and the plowing up here absolutely SUCKS. When I first got the tires I had the center lugs siped. This is a definate improvement on any mud tire. The change in wet weather and snow/ice/winter traction is amazing. I think it's a combination of the softer rubber and the siping. I have too high of gears so I can spin the rears pretty easily just getting it to move, but once I have traction, I have traction. It was pretty nice all winter, good road traction combined with the ability to just chew through any standing snow or slush.

Check out BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KOs. They're good in mud, good in snow, pretty good on wet roads, and they last a long time. That's what I'm using, and I have no complaints at all. They've gotten me unstuck from snow and lots of nasty mud.

Ugh, AT's in mud...............blech. AT's do better than street tires in mud, but that's about it. If you want a real mud tire, get a mud tire.

I've seen guys stuck with AT's in 3" of sticky mud.
