Looking for one piece axle (AMC20) install instructions

There's really no need for detail because there is really nothing to it. The old 2 piece axle comes out, press the bearings and
collar on, put new seals in, put axles in, and away you go. At least it was that easy with my Mosers. I've had them apart several
times to work on the rear end, the hardest part, if you can call it that, is bleeding the brakes after you hook the brake lines back up.

Brad is right. I have the Superior and the only difference is the spacers that have to be shaved down to the correct thickness. The measurement is easy...install the seal, then put in the bearing and spacer (minus the axle), measure how far the space sticks out, and shave it down until it sticks out about .020-.060 from the axle flange. Shave it down, then press everything on. After that it all works the same as above.

Belive me, after spinning an axle, the 1 piece is worth it.

uh.. one thing here people.. dont forget to shim the axle.. i had the superior ones.. and i didnt have to shave anything. but you do want to shim it. when you put it all together.. and put the shaft into the axle bolt it all in and check the play on it, in and out. should be 6-10 thousands.. or just a tad bit of movement (is what us contry folk call it) the axle kit should come with shims. if you dont have any you can get them from the company.. or make them out of some real thin material ie. beer cans.. you want this play for the bearing, with out it. they tend to burn up on long hauls...

The early style Mosers like I have don't need to be shimmed, there is no provision for it. I'm really not sure about the later ones, but I do believe the adds say no shimming.

None of the Moser axles need to be shimmed. If you have to shim your Moser axles to make them work, you have done something wrong or havent removed the axle thrust block. I have a web site, which gives highlights and tips for a more successful install of Moser axles. If you are doing the install for the first time, it can be confusing. To say that it is easy may be misleading.

I have 2 amc 20 one with one piece axles and the other 2 piece axles. I wanted to swap both of them because one housing is set for soa and the other sua, my question is what exactly has to be unbolted? does the diff cover have to be removed? what do u have to loosen to get the axle to come out? and then do u use some kind of puller? to get the axle shaft out of the housing?
