Lock Up Torque Converters

Has anyone ever put a lock-up torque converter on a stock TH350, what is involved in the process?? I have heard of putting them in and having a switch that you can flip to lock it up. I need to lower the cruising rpm's on my jeep. When my 4L60E locks up in my '96K1500, the tach drops from 2000 to 1700rpm (at around 45mph or so while in 3rd gear).

I thought you were going to put 35's on there. That would lower your rpm's.
I run the exact same setup as you. I chose the non-lockup for more strength, but if you put the lockup style in and it lowers your rpm let me know how it goes.
