in about an hour, I am going to install a lock right in my dana 30 on my 78 CJ. Will I need to remove the ring gear to install the
lock right? I am I correct in saying that if I don't mess with bearing on the side of the differential that I won't have to setup the front



I all depends on gear ratio, a thicker ring gear, lower numerical will have to have the ring gear removed, but the installation will still take only an hour or so. If you put everything back the way it came out, no adjustment is necessary.
