HEY GUYS
I PICKED UP A 2002 BLAZER ZR2 WITH AROUND 14,500 MILES ON IT. IF YOU LOOK AT IT FROM THE SIDE IT LOOKS LIKE THE REAREND OF THE TRUCK IS DOWN LOWER THAN THE FRONT. IS THIS A COMMON PROBLEM? WELL TO CORRECT THIS I DID A T-BAR CRANK AND A 2.5 INCH ADD A LEAF IN THE REAR. I KNOW I CAN FIT 32X11.5 ON THERE. SO MY OTHER QUESTION IS CAN I FIT A SET OF 33X10.5 ON THERE. tHE FRONT OF THE BUMPER HAS BEEN TRIMMED (THAT LOWER PLASTIC PIECE). THERE IS NOW TONS OF ROOM. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? aLSO HOW DOES THE GIBSON CATBACK EXHAUST SOUND, NICE AND THROATY OR KIND OF WEAK?
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

To answer your first question about the rear end a little lower. I find this to be the optimal way. Others may think differently. I never really liked the "stinkbug" look (rear end higher than the front).

I think this is a problem with just about all SUV's. The rear end starts sagging a bit. Many ways to fix it, such as getting your springs re-arched, or getting new springs. All that extra weight in the rear, and still using truck-rated springs.

get some new rear springs from national spring

then go to any tire shop and have them test fit a 31x10.50 to your truck. then you will know for sure

i would advise you to get some good quality shocks all around(rancho9000x) and maybe some new springs in back. my buddy has a zr2 pickup and he tried to put 32x11.50 mud terrains on and those things rubbed like crazy and he had no suspension travel at all. so you probably should think about a lift or to run all terrains which a smaller than the muds. as for the 33's you may as well get that new 6'' super lift kit. Now maybe if you had off-set rims the 32's might fit a little better, but you will still have no suspension travel

i'd worry a lot about putting 33's on that. you'd have to cut major fender, lift the body. but there would be a lot of strain on the whole front end after you crank up the torsion bars again. if i were you, i'd lower the torsion bars back down to stock height, and think about a suspension lift, not t-bar cranks. maybe a trailmaster 5 inch or something of that nature.

In order to fix your "sagging" problem you need to install a set of shackles or a set of add-a-leafs in order to fix the problem.

In order to fit 32's you will need to install a 2" body lift from Performance Accessories. If you plan on wheelin' you ZR2 then you may have to do a little trimming in order to fit 32's even with the body lift. For 33's you will need to install the BDS 5" suspension lift and probably do a little trimming or you could go with the 6" lift from Superlift. The problem is the wheel wells on a ZR2 are only about 33" wide.

Hopefully some of this info. helps you out.
