lift kit for a 96 4X4 Ranger to run 33 12:50\'s

I have a 96 Ranger 4x4, wanting to install 33 12:50's, was wondering if any has an idea as to how much of a lift is required for clearance?
Also wondering will it work with a 8" to a 10", which does better?

Probably 6' is enough to clear the tires.
Best to use the smallest lift to fit them
so its less top heavy. Use a 15x8"wide wheel
to keep them tucked in and less likely to hit

Thanks for the info tanbuddy. Would you recommend using a Superlift kit or is there one you like better?

Skyjacker and James Duff are the big names in Ranger/Bronco II TTB lifts. Problem is the amount of travel the kits will give you. Both will clear a 33 like you want but the big travel you get with the extended radius arms will make the 3" Duff hit the fenders at max stuff. You can do that with the 6" Skyjacker kit as well but it's much less likely.

If you wanna go really cheap a 2" body lift or spring spacer lift and some trimming will fit them. Flared fiberglass fenders or Bushwacker cut outs will also fit them.

Basically with a long arm lift kit you're looking at about 6" to keep them off the stock body. With the stock radius arms you can clear them with 2" of lift and trimming.

Super lift makes good stuff. go to ntwonline.com to check out several different brands of lifts.

I clear 32 11.5's on 8" wheels with a 4" kit on my 97 with no rubbing, even at full articulation. 33s would rub just a little. I've seen 35 10.5 on 6" lifts.

im running 35x12.50s on 8 inch rims on my 94 with a 5.5 inch lift kit from superlift it cost me close to 800 dollars for the lift it came with all the drop brackets and break lines and shocks only thing it didnt come with twas leaf springs they wanted an extra 200 a piece for the leafs for the back so im running a 4.5 inch block on top of my factory block in the rear. The tires clear good except for when it its fully articulated i have rubbing on the back sides of the front tires and both front and rea on the back tires when fully articulated. The way to go would be a 6 inch lift from skyjacker/superlift, that way you dont have any body lift on your truck and you dont have to worry about any rubbing plus it looks cool.
