Hi all,

This is just a follow-up to the 'cluncking' or banging sound I was experiencing after installing my 3.5" RE lift on the Grand.

Checked, rechecked, figured out patterns what the noise during turns and braking came from...

Long story short. The front lower control arms, where they attached to the body, the bolts I used were threaded all the way to the head. The slack between the threads would allow the LCA to move back and forth against the brackets when braking or when the forces were uneven. Replaced them with shanked bolts and... voila!... a nice quiet ride!

One for the "wor what it's worth department"!

Later,

Detlef
