Lets all list mods we have done to our bikes. Let us know if they were good or bad.

Ill start.

93 Banshee:

ported:mid top power

bored with .060" Wisecos(thats what happens when you sieze it up without fixin the problem).

Toomey radiator: Looks nice and of good quality, more coolant capacity. Having overheating problems......hmmmm????

Pro Design\cool head w \ 21cc domes, stainless water impellar, EZ drain. No difference with the domes, only, when you blow up the motor, it is easier to just by a dome, than take the stock head in for repairs. EZ drain is neat and clean.

FMF Fatties W\ PC2 silencers. Sounds awesome, great mid-top power.

Toomey 2:1 foam with Outerwear. No dirt in intake tract, easy to rejet.

Trued\Welded crank:preventative maintanace.

2+1" Timmy Boy 4130 arms: Better travel, cornering, side hill stability.

+4" Dura blue axle, more stability.

ITP race ring rims: fronts are trash, dent easy. Rears ok.

Holeshot rear knobs: Handle and track great, decent traction, will not hold air for long.

Maxis front tires:Good steering.

Renthals: Good posture and control.

Motion Pro twist throttle:Nice and smooth. Wish i installed the idle kit..

Tell me all about yours.................

00 Banshee,

Toomie T5's (crome)lots om mid and high range power

Toomie 2 in 1 filter (kind of a pain to clean)

Dyno-jet jets & meatering rods

Boyesen 2 stage power valves

RPM's Dominator +3 rear axle

just lost compression on one of my cyl. so now I want to get carried away with building a real hot rod out of her , but I have to buy a new house for the wife and I first, sso I think I will (for now) put pistons in it and call it good

01 Raptor

GYT-R pipe (aluminum) gained lots of bottom end grunt (mounting brackets suck)

Dyno-jet kit ( wow what a diferance ) I had it jetted after I put the pipe on it and it ran better but I thought it could be better, so I spent the money around $100.00 for the dyno-jet kit I'M GLAD I DID , WOW with the bigger jets and smaller meatering rods , instructions on how to modify the air box, BIG power gain on the bottom, and mid range

T-2 pro taper bars (love the feel and straingth)

GYT-R graphic's (lightning bolts) Pain to put on but look good

GYT-R aluminum heel gaurds

GYT-R aluminum radiator cover (sharp looking , very sharp)

GYT-R frame gaurds (pain to put on but save the pretty paint from my boots)

GYT-R oil filter/water pump cover (aluminum)

GYT-R starter cover (aluminum)

GYT-R shock covers(blue)

GYT-R skid plates front and rear (dont leave home without them)/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

RPM's Dominator +4 rear axle

trick inset valvestems on front rims so I can run them inside out for a +4 front end (Major stability)

I LOVE THIS THING it does everything I want it to but before I'm done I will put a + 2 swingarm on her and some works shocks with the 2+1 A-arms

for my next project I'm going to put my 86 Pantera 440 engine in my golf cart , jack her up a few inches , put some paddles on her and go to the dunes /wwwthreads_images/icons/cool.gif

My TRX250R

94 Laeger Pro-trax chassis, 7 years old and still solid as a rock.

PEP Ltd MASS shocks, Easily soak up anything I throw them at.

Champion beadlock rear rims, almost indestructable (luckily theres no rocks in NJ).

Hinson clutch parts, took me 3 years to wear grooves into the basket.

CT mid pipe, great bottom to mid power flat on top.

ESR TRX-5 pipe, great mid to top power

Gunnar gasser twist throttle, Been using it since 89 and it has always worked great. Can you still buy these? Where???

Amsoil 2000 premix, Burns CLEAN, leaves no deposits like castor. At 50:1 its cheaper too.

Thats most of the good stuff.....keep em coming!

The new Douglas polished Billett Aluminum rims with Bead lock and integeral billet centers

Emergency Brake system and cable removed W/new less cumbersome Clutch lever assembly
Key ignition and cumersome wiring removed

To Killshot about goin farther......Porting would be the next thing to do. If that aint enough.......and you want more low end, get a stroker crank. IF you want more top end, get bigger carbs. If thats not enough, get NOS.

To Haulass & Cleartoy;

Thanks for the response. You both say top end next, correct? Alot of people say I should have done that first, but oh well. It is what I was thinking of doing next anyway. What do you guys think so far? It's gonna be Pretty freaking quick at both ends, dont you you think?

Thanks

banshee tuning

I just bought a blown (up) Banshee for $300. It has a dual row aluminum axle carrier, nerfs, new plastic and a kevlar ceet cover. It also has the Moto-fast single carb kit with aluminum intake. I just had it blasted and powder-coated, NEXT STEP ENGINE! Does anyone know any tricks with this carb? are any needed? and which pipes would be good for decent mid and some great screamin' Banshee top end?

here are my mods...all mods with a (*) were put on by the previous owner

on my 98 warrior

razr front tires-excelent..no complaints
bandit rear tires-also excelent
pro circuit T4-very good power gains sounds sweet
pro flow filter system-excelent alows for my no lid setup and is way better than stock setup
sidewinder chains and sprockets-very excelent..only adjusted chain a little tiwce in a year..sprockets look new
cascade parking brake block off-just looks cool!
armadillo swingarm skid plate-very nice.1/4 in. thick it is invincible
motion pro twist throttle-very nice..but only if you like twists
pro grips-have good feel..i think they arnt fat enough
flipped rear rims-more stable in turns
trimmed fenders a little bit and took of those gay fender extenders and half floor boards..looks cooler

on my 95 300ex

FMF megamax 2 complete system-great power gains really woke it up
*mud machine rear tires-work really well in snow and mud but suck everywhere else!
*ITP off set front rims-helps in turns alot
maeir black race cut front fenders-looks way effing awsome!!
lonestar axcalibur axle-very nice!! powerslides like a dream!
lonestar twin row bearing carrier-bearing shattered in the stock one and the bearing carrier soon followed the twin row bearings are tougher
renthal bars-very nice and light and feel just right!
*motion pro twist-again nice if you like them
*pro grips-these ones a nice and fat very comfortable!
*DG front bumper-looks really cool
*DG grab bar-looks cool..has no tail light mount though
maier aluminum hand gaurds with the plastic ones too- i hate them they get in my way but my bro likes them
lonestar steering stem-stocker was broken in 3 different spots!! the LSR one is still on order but im sure it will be excelant
open airbox-gave in some more bite
armadillo swingarm skid-same as warrior
*some genaric parking brake block off-looks cool

note-the sad thing about the mods we put on the ex is that all of them (except the hand garuds) is because of the destruction of the stock part hehe

89 banshee

*whooly bugger rear tires-they suck!!! zero traction!! they actually make a howling sound when they spin cuz they spin so fast and thats up through 3rd gear they do that!!!
*maxxis non razr front tires-they suck they are only two ply and they flex all over the place
pro flow filter unit w/ open lid-the only way to travel!
cascade parking break block off-looks cool
*LA sleeve 380 big bore-i have nothing to compare it to so i dont know how much power it gave..i really dont know what the previous owner was thinking going with that big of a bore..
DG grab bar-pretty poor..didnt come with any mounting hardware and the stock bolts wouldnt work on it so we had to find bolds that worked..it also need some persuding with a hammer to fit..oh and it doesnt have a tail light mount either..but thats not too important

i hope to put alot more money into the banshee and make it a screaming demon because it is pretty much stock now and the mods that are on it didnt help much!

I ride a Banshee. Fear me.

skully, would you mind if i made love to your raptor?? Thing looks mean...but how's the suspension??? Doesn't look like u have much ground clearance, looks like an easy ground rocker, like u'd bottom off of a jump everytime. Probably not though.....so how bout it, me and your fourwheeler, tonight eh????

Well......I am thinking about that 720 kit..hehe !!
It took me 2 months to get it where it is now, and the motor is next...just following my plan. I don't know why...I can barely hang on now !

Now then, someone please tell me how to by-pass the rev-limiter and nuetral start switch that was on my stock clutch/e-brake lever....Thanks!

nice quadzilla...im not big on them...but the thing that makes me like it, is that it's not the quadzilla engine
Image
