That's it!! I'VE HAD IT!!! I have no more patience with Leon Rosser!!
1. They stuffed up my ordered & sent 3 R&P's but one 1 install kit.
2. They incorrectly billed my credit card.
3. I got hit with extra import duties for the extra parts.
4. Nearly a month later & I still haven't received the 2nd installation kit.
5. Despite several emails & phone calls (not cheap from Aust) they STILL have NOT got their act together.
6. When finally provided with Tracking number UPS advised that it was the original (incorrect)delivery and that there are currently no parcels in transit between Leon Rosser & myself.

Am I mad - You FKN Bet!!!
If you like getting incorrect parts, billed incorrectly & lied to...then give your business to Leon Rosser otherwise Think Again!!

They do seem to have a problem filling orders correctly. Lasr top I ordered a few months ago came the wrong color, screwed up my vacation as a consequence.

AMEN brother!
I changed to p/s on my 7 and needed the coupler.
4wdhw was backordered so I called rosser.
I try to explain what I'm looking for out of cataloge w/ page #'s
and all and I get cut off mid sentance with "I know what you want".
I try to make sure he knows what I'm after and again, cut off by Mr.
personality.
They end up sending me a manual coupler(too small) and the pinch clamp
was a 7/16 nut they airfreighted me$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
The punchline was I asked if I could get the new cataloge with my order
after I just paid for one.(no discount w/my order)......no cat.
So I called back , didn't even say my parts were wrong(modified it)talk
to the operator and ask why they did'nt send it,no sorry,"I'LL SEND IT OUT!"
I get it & the coupon inside it in BIG BLACK MARKER says "VOID".
7$ is 7$ but thats still BS.
Thanks PEON Looser.
4Wheel Hardware has Great customer service.......I'll stick with them!

/wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif My computer skills are not all that good and I am sitting here trying to think how you get this thread into storage, then get Rosser's e-mail, then attach the thread. If I was Rosser, I would WANT to see this thread. We have had only minor mixups on parts orders from all the stuff we got from Rosser, but you know, it was because someone was too busy saying "Yeah" to listen and get it right./wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif

My old top was trashed, all the zippers were broken and we were going up to Colorado for a week in the mtns. It ALWAYS rains when we go camping and wheeling in Colorado. I did not want a black top, so therefore I had to wait for them to send me the tan one I ordered. Needless to say, vacation delayed by a week. /wwwthreads_images/icons/mad.gif

I always had great service from Four Wheel Drive Hardware for over 10 years. Then I got some Transmission parts from them and had a problem. After the BS attitude and crap that I got from their Customer Service Dept, they lost my business forever. Their Sales staff was great and helpfull, it was their Customer Service Dept. that stunk. If they put the Sales people in charge of Customer Service, they would have my business again. The Customer Service guy's did not even want to hear my problem. Based on conversations with other Jeepers, I am probably the only person who has ever had a problem with them. That's my 2 cents.

From all the posts on this board in the past couple months ref bad service, etc. from the various suppliers, I'm beginning to think they all must have problems. Time to start making my own parts, now all I need is a foundry, complete machine shop, and I'm still waiting for that darn plasma cutter, so I can take off the tips of my fingers like my son's boss did while demonstrating their new machine. OUCH! /wwwthreads_images/icons/shocked.gif

Guys I'm sorry for venting - but I feel that since I'm literally half a world away that they think I don't count - well they HAVE ruined my vacation. I was planning to go 4wding between xmas & new Year. But since my rear diff is 4.56 & my front is 3.07 (the driveshaft is out). There's no point 2wding my rig :( Great xmas present huh.....

With all the problems that people are having with mail order companies, you guys should try Mepco Jeep in Midvale Ut. They have almost everything imaginable for jeeps including hard to find and discontinued parts and they know their stuff and are real good. Unfortunately I dont have their 800 number in front of me, but their regular one is 801-561-3-3299. I really suggest you all give them a try, I think you will be satisfied. And no, I dont work for them.

I have ordered many times from Rosser in the past with good luck, but not recently and it seems that not anymore.

I agree with 4WD HWD. Also, try Quadratec, Turner 4WD, Mepco, Savanna Jones, and J.C. Whitney (Really, don't laugh, they have had what I want when I need it).

Good Luck

My 2 cents: I've ordered from Leon Rosser a couple times and everything went fine.

but I do have a good story/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

I installed my eng/trans with an Advanced Adaptor kit, a few months later, while beating my Jeep pretty hard it went bang and quit moving (later found out i broke the "Spud" shaft, between the transmission and transfercase) i call AA and they say sorry about that, i was using too big a tire (33" is what i had) and no warranty.

So i call 4WD and tell them the story, they put me on hold and called AA, in about 2 minutes they say if i mail in the broken spud shaft they will replace it for FREE. (and they did)
so anyway, if 4WD has it, i order it from them,(but they don't carry everything/wwwthreads_images/icons/frown.gif)

Lets not forget about their $7 catalog. Only until they offer it for free will I consider buying items from them again. Hell, after all the money I spent there you would think that a fella could get a free catalog in the mail.

K...gotta go get some Tacos for dinner.

Last Rosser catalog I looked at he was higher than hell.

I too have bought a lot of stuff from Whitney. They even have a special Jeep catalog. Sometimes you
get junk, but they take it back with no questions and pay the return postage. I'm not talking about a few
little trinkets either, they took back a complete fiberglass tub, fenders, hood and windshield frame. Real
junk, I think it was Shell Valley but not sure, no name on the boxes but it came from Nebraska.

I have only done business with them once, but the one time Was good. Maybe because I spent almost $500 on a Weber carb, bestop bikini top, and windjammer, and I told them the price, and part#(off of their website). If I had it to do over, I probably would!!!

heck man this isn't "venting" this is what we need to see more of .I for one don't have time or $$$$ to waste on crappy service or parts .I don't recall having a problem at all with JC Witney or 4 wheel drive hardware, even the stuff I did have to return. But we do need to be aware when a certain supplier is slacking.

I have dealt with them a few times over the past year. I ordered a clutch (Centerforce) and they sent the wrong bushing. No prob, picked one up locally and ate theirs. I ordered a new top, the windsheild brackets that came with it were the wrong kind....YJ i think and I have a CJ5. AFter a few calls to their service center I got a guy who tells me that that is the part that comes with it and they do not stock replacement brackets. I will have to call Bestop and order it from them through Rosser. I call Bestop and get a lady who tells me it looks like I have the wrong part and takes my add'y down and tells me to leave Rosser out of it. She will send them right to me. No prob! Excellent service from a manufacturer! Rosser hs some issues to work out in that department. I did win a set of PIAA lights at the Rosser Rush however, last April. Had no problems getting those! :)

Well thanks to everyone for listening. But please understand, it wasn't just the delay, but the extra cost & the fact the I had
planned a 4wd holiday between xmas & new years - no go now :(

This morning I liased with Leon Rosser and was able to get a tracking number (third though & was still slightly wrong), with this
I was able to track where the parts are. Austalia Post has been sitting on it since 6th December. Hopefully I will get the
package tomorrow.

Anyways in summary, the blame is only part Leon Rosser. Thanks to Kimberley at Leon Rosser for her help in resolving things.

Cheers
Wooders.

Re: Kim is the star @ Rosser

/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif Kimberly is the star in that outfit. She is the one who got to the bottom of a problem I had with a set of engine block heaters. You see, ONE is what they usually call a set, and I wanted one for each cylinder bank. I could tell when I ordered it that the person wasn't getting it right. Kim's got my vote all right./wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif
