On my 87 YJ with a 258 and BA 10\5 tranny, it leaks oil from the bellhousing where it connects to the engine? What could this be? Any suggestions for what to do when I pull my motor for the engine swap im gonna do?

If it is not the rear of the valve cover leaking into/over the bellhousing then it is probably a leaky rear main seal.

rear main seal it is...this is easy to fix yourself....get the book and go for it.

My engine blew, so does this have anything to do with that?

yea, probably so......the seal went out, then the oil leaked out and now the engin has burned up from lack of oil. sorry to hear about that. now you need to get a rebuilt engin installed and that will cost. inless you do it yourself and that will run about 850.00-1200.00. guess how much the rear main seal cost?????????just the part????????? two kinds: one is a single lip-8.00 and the double lip-13.00.......
