I just bought a 71 cj5 . It needs new leaf springs on driver side so I wanted to know if I can get them of a newer jeep or any other vehicle. I want to get a lift but I cant afford one right now, unless somone knows were i can get one for under 300. how much of a lift would I need to run 33x12.50 on 15 inch rims.

No, the newer ones won't work. You need to find the springs from a CJ-5 or CJ-6 from '55 to '75. The flatfenders are a little shorter (3.38"), but the right width. Your springs are 0.25" narrower than the '76 and up jeeps, so they won't work.

I have a complete set of four from my 74 cj5 laying in my carport. They have bramd newe shackles that lift I think 1.5",If you want them you can have them, just pay for shipping.
