I was talking to a Wilsons 4x4 in Holy Hill Fl. about my solid axle swap on my Nissan (Shields at full power!!). They informed me that a using a 4" lifted spring for a CJ would probably be perfect until I have it completely set up to order custom springs for exact spring rates. What I forgot to ask them while I was there was what year. I was looking through a catolog and saw that pre 82 and post 82 had two different part #'s. Is one set longer than the other? Actualy I would like to know the measurements of the distance of the mounts on the frame. Thanks for your help guys.

Do a search on here about frames and/or springs, we've covered it well in the past.

No, there is no difference between pre and post '82 springs on CJ's.
