Does anybody know what the largest tire I can fit on a 90 F150 4X4 with stock HD suspension. I know I can get a 31X10.50-15 on it but was wondering if a BFG 33X9.50-15 would fit? Also if I get a lift kit, which 3" kit has the best ride. I had a 3" Rancho lift on my 78 F150 and the ride was terrible as compared to the stock suspension.

I have seen 33 12.50 15 tires on one. The guy said he had to move the front bumber forward though. 1 inch I think. But 9.50s may work better, since they are narrower and will stay in the fender well better when turning.

I ran 32x11.50s on my 88 bronco -- same platform as the 150 I think, and it only rubbed slightly on the left radius arm at a full left turn. 33s will rub in the same place even if they are 9.50s or 12.50s. Its the height when turned that causes the rub

I ran these on 15x8 AR rims with about 1/2 inch less backspacing than the stock 15x8 steel rims.
