It has happend about 5 times since i got my kfx 400 when im in 5th it pops down to 4 for no reason at all has anyone else had this problem? or know what it is?

It's probably the dogs on fith gear and will need torn down ... I highly suggest you stop riding it and get a qualified mechanic to check it out .... trans parts get real expensive real fast (usually between 800 and 1500 for a whole trans).... I hope you have a warranty

Yes, you will need to go inside and look around. Hopefully its under warrenty if your bike is new. Take it asap to the dealer. If not, get a qualified mechanic and have him or her tear it down and replace the necessary parts.
