this truck i just bought- has a crimestopper alarm installed (rather crappy install too). only has one remote. i wanna just take the dang alarm out completely- only thing is i wonder if my 99 had keyless entry from the factory- i would think it did (LS, silverado). how would i determine if it did, and if so how would i go about getting a remote programmed? i know i can find remotes on ebay. also, the auto-door lock feature after you put it in drive- anyway to get rid of that? mine locks, but then doesn't unlock when you stop- or is it supposed too? i figured maybe the alarm had it screwed up.

It should tell on the codes in the glove box. But im not sure what code it is, maybe some one here knows what the code is for keyless entry.

AU0 - that is the RPO code for "lock control, remote entry"
