Hey guys, recently wrecked my car, so I'm in the market for a new one. I have some experiance with offroad, but I am still no expert. My options in my head are if I should go with either SFA or IFS? And if within in that, a truck or a blazer? The only thing i do not like about the newwe blazers, is there ability to clear very big tires. As far as I know a 6" lift will be able to clear 33's, and I am really looking for atleast 35's. I will be able to find an SFA truck or blazer for alittle cheaper and will be able to easily find one that has already been lifted. I also like the looks alot better or '87 and older trucks. So this is where I am leaning, but I'm sure you guys know alot more than me, so tell me what you think. I am very open at this point.

You mean Blazer as in S-10 Blazer? Yeah, it would be hard to clear 35"s with such a small truck. If your main concern is durabilitly and off road performance, go with an 87 and prior SFA fullsize. You'd be much happier with it, and it would be easy to lift and clear 35+ tires. On the other hand, if you're hauling around a family, you might consider a blazer, or if you're wanting to stick with the SFA deal, a K5 Blazer (fullsize).

It depends on what you are wanting to do if you want a driver mostly and offroad some go with IFS 88 and up easy to work on and older ones are cheap. If you want a solid front axle to clear 35 they are cheap and easy to lift as compared to ifs but you can go up to 91 in blazers and subarbans have the old body style but tbi engines which are good engines.
