A buddy of mine has an 82 Bronco with the 302 V8 and has not been able to get it running. He was going to sell it to a scrap yard for $60. So, being the good friend I am, I offered to take it off his hands.

It has an auto tranny, with a broken linkage to the dash(you can't see what gear your in.) But I'm really not an auto kinda guy, so is there a manual tranny that can be swapped in. I really don't know anything bout Broncos, but I'm learnin'

The engine runs, leaks oil, but runs. Its just not getting any power to the starter. As soon as I go over to tow it to my garage I can start working on it.

It could be fixed with $20 worth of parts and he's selling it for $60?
The NP435 would be the most obvious choice for a 4 speed granny stick, since it was available in that year truck. If you can find the right Bronco in a yard, you could swap with totally original bolt-on parts, including driveshafts, assuming the lengths are different between trannies. Of course, you could leave the tranny, rig up a new starter switch and solenoid, and go ride
