All I want is a little lift to upgrade to 33x12.50's from my 32x11.50's on my '73 CJ-5. I already have a 2.5" suspension lift, and I'm not ready for a SOA, nor do I care for all the technicalities that are associated with a 4" lift. So it sounds like my options are narrowed down to either a body lift and/or longer shackles. I'm a little discouraged from the body sway that comes with the body lift, but maybe this is what will become. What are the pros and cons of longer shacles? Would it give me enough clearance? Any info would help.

Have you considered maybe 1.5 or 2 inch add-a-leaves. Just a thought

A slightly longer shackle will help clear those 33's, as would an add-a-leaf. Have you considered going under the knife? Just do a little fender trimming and install some TJ flares (which look great) and you'll get lots more clearance. (YJ flares work too)
