Couple of nice looking rigs in JP mag this month. The Bull nose is in the mailbox section calling the rag writer out to a little drag race (retaliation for the September ugly jeep article)
The other is a 67 (multi colored) in the Jeep shot section.
I've had a few that want to drag race my rig with it's 455, they change their tunes when I pull out a tow chain and tell them I'll drag them anywhere I want to go.
Jeepsters aren't made for high speeds.
A drag race? Come on people! JP magazine only builds trail rigs and the best the bullnose guys could come up with is a drag race? I was hoping they would print my letter, but I guess they got scared when I offered to go on any trail they wanted with my 72. I even offered to unhook a couple of spark plug wires to make it more of a challenge for me. I think they are just jealous because they don't have a Rambler dealer sticker on the back of their jeeps...
Seems like from most of the Jeepsters and Commandos I've seen in my area, the only way they move is if they are being dragged
From reading all the letters, seemed like they got a few people mad with that garbage trucks article. I don't know that I would be too insulted by their article in any case. After all, have you seen the rigs they work on.
There is not much left of the sticker as it is pretty faded. It is on the lower left of the tailgate in white letters and says: Midtown Motors
Rambler Jeep
Middlesex New Jersey
Thankfully it was moved to California at a very early age so I do not have the usual rust of a Jersey rig.
