Hello everyone and Happy New year!

I just completed a search on the BBS and did not find what I was looking for.

I'm looking for the part # and company that still makes the Jeepster body mount/bushings kit. I would also like to know where I can order one and about how much they are...

I'm in the middle of swapping my very rusty 1972 tub for a very clean (rust wise) 1970 tub.

I know that I have seen it here on the BBs before so I apoligize in advance for re-hashing an old topic.

You are aware of the major differences between the 70 and 72 bodies? Rocker where fenders mount , dash where steering column mounts and also where column goes thru floor.

Or you can go to a boat shop and look for long sticks of poly or rubber and cut them down to what size you want. Then buy new bolts and your done for about 1/2 the cost.
The poly or rubber sticks are boat trailer rollers, but work perfect for Jeepsters.

I have them in stock .I had them made to the original specs.the reason i went ahead and had them made is the other brand (prothane) aren't the original diameter so i have a local company build them so them are the exact diameter and style of stock ones (but in graphite injected polly ) they come in black and kits includes 26 bushings 13 top and 13 bottom i sell them to the club members for $50.00 a set plus shipping email me if you need more info or the shipping cost.

thanks ryan www.THE-JEEP-GUY.COM or [email protected]

Oh Yes! I have a front clip that consists of YJ fenders, a 1969 Jeepster grille and a streached hood. The rocker tie in is not an issue, I cut the rockers off at the 45 degree bevel.

I also have converted my steering column to a CJ7 tilt column.

There are the differences, but there is always a way around them!!

There is a picture of my "monster" in the reader rigs section of the Jeepster page, on page 13, second picture. The info with the pic is wrong.

My Commando is a 1972, with a 1969 grill, streached hood (with an AMC 360 V8 under it) and YJ fenders.

I have boxed the frame from the motor mounts forward. This grill guard mounts dierectly to the frame through the winch mount (it sits in the winch tray). It was pretty easy to mount. And it looks good against the Jeepster grill!!
