I am quite new to all of this Jeeping and off-roading, as I'm sure you can tell if you've read my previous posts. I was just wondering what y'all's opinions were on a really good Jeep book. I've heard that Jeep 4x4 Performance Handbook is very good. Any other suggestions? I'd like something that explains a little bit of everything - Jeep history, maintenance, modifications, etc.

The Jeep Bible is good for a history lesson. The Haynes or Chiltons (even better yet, a Factory Service Manual) will tell you all about repairing and servicing the vehichle.

Quadratec and 4wd Hardware have a veritable "butt-load" of Jeep books. You might also try your local Barnes and Noble or equivalent. Amazon.com also has a ton of books on Jeeps. I have the Jeep Bible by Granville King and Willy Worthy. It is a pretty good read, especially when accompanied by a factory service manual.
