ok i have a cj7 1985 with full steel doors.....i want to put on half doors from a YJ...the door-shutting pins are different....where/how can i get the pins from the YJ's so the half doors will close and lock

If your jeep is 81 or newer you should be able to use the YJ doors . The tubs are very simular, both having post reinforcement behind the door opening where the post bolts on. The old style used a paddle latch. The only thing to do shopuld be to hang them and enjoy.

thats what i thought too...but the door strike pin thing from my hard door it a something like a large bolt....while the half door striker pin thing is a "U" shape....any ideas? or am i just really confused?

The half doors I bought worked fine. They use the same post. Unless yours are a strange aftermarket stlye it should latch the same. My friends 1/2 doors work the same as mine.

tj's have the u-shaped pin that the door latches onto, the yj's have the striker bolt should be the same as you cj
