Wow, I don't remember seeing so few posts and slow activity here!

Are we just too busy with other stuff or have many people bugged out to other sites? Let's bring back the "raging debates" or something!!

Hell, the Lexus Owner's site is more interesting than this one!!!!:eek:oo:

well you are welcome to move all of my trail posts to a better spot.
just let me know so I can watch them and show them to my wife.

long story, don't know if you were in on it or not.

she just loves the feed back, but we have not been getting it here.
don't remove them from the toyota part but links or copies are fine.
I wish that I had started my photo bucket a bit better. but now I can't change it as I would hate to thing of all the red x s.

feel free to move them.

My wife and I are (as I am aware of) the only totally toyota or toyota after market parts, trucks on the trails here.

She is a better driver, spotter then I am..... she is not afraid to lean that truck to rolling over.... course I am the one that would have to fix it.

and it is pretty awsome, I built her truck from stock to where it is now. in a gravel drive way.. we have talked about this many times,,,, she trusts my wrenching all the way. she has said ( I carried a tool kit in my car),,, now I realise what a joke that was.... watching me tear into her truck, weld, fab, change, grind and modify.

I made those bumpers, from scratch. she supports me in my doings, long story if you have not been keeping up.

I have been a little busy, the twins are now 14 months old... so I have been spending all my time with them.
I haven't had the time or money to do any truck projects (twins are expensive).
The last time I went wheeling was back in January!

I drive the truck to work most days....so it is being used, but man.... i have got to get on the trail soon.

Oh, the wife and I are going to take the kids camping in a few months when the temperature drops a little.

I check the site almost daily. Wild yoats too. Both are way slow. Get annoyed by arrogant asses over at pirate so I stay over here. I don't get to wheel much and when I do have to keep it mellow. Truck is my d-d, most guys I know don't like to get there pretty trucks scratched up. Often I end up bombing down logging roads solokeeping to roads that (I hope) I would see others and be able to get a lift or what ever.
I love looking at the pics and vid links of the trail runs. They are way more nasty than any I've done. Truck isn't ready for extreme stuff. Just picked up a $300 jetta so that should ease the pressure to never break the runner as well as save on gas. But first I have to get it road worthy/ pass emissions testing.

are you talking about my pictures and movies?
if so say something, what do you think? I am pretty happy that my wife enjoys and wheels her self.
she loves feed back. she almost died on me about a year ago,, been going on for 3 years, so she gets what she wants. The rapid build of her toyota is the result of that. It is better then my truck now. Or she is a better driver then me. She walked right up a water fall that I had to use the winch on after about 10 tries,, lines. her wheel base is 10 inches shorter then mine so she hit the (holes) differently. but she drove it like pulling into a parking lot.

I am getting tired of posting up with no feed back. I am proud of her and the fact that she is still alive.
this is home, this is my first site, this is the place that I have chatted with, helped out and been helped out by some of the same people for 10 years or more.

I don't know any of you, in real life, but I know you guys on the net, you have provided me with support that has been way more then any of my real world friends.
you give me advice that is honest, because there is no reason for you to lie.
you know that I have given the best advice that I can because lieing would just be stupid.
I will try your advice and find the truth, you will also do the same.
there is no stretching of the truth here on the net.... one demerit or lie.. and you are tagged and done.

Oh... Hehehe I was talking about how they called ORC "old school"....

But yeah, if you're running ball joint spacers, go take a look at your arms.... Downey was refering to some issues they had with 2wd spacers, but it's a good idea anyway.....

Hey Man I appreciate ya !
I still visit this site and I still view it as my number one :D
I'm no noob either, just havn't had much to post, I passed on my ole ride to my son's. First kid drove it for 3 years and now my 16 year has it.
It's still serving a purpose in teaching them mechanics and how to drive a real vehicle.
I appreciate all that you have done keeping the site somewhat alive and keeps me thinking what I am going to do with the vehicle when I get it back.
Just keep up the good work, I will try to chime in more often but most of all keep your little lady happy !

Man I remember a couple years ago this site was the zwing, maybe if we all put a little more effort into it, it will bring back life

not much to report. finished the exhaust on the runner. had muffler and turn down but ended under the back seat. finally got some tube out to the back. alot less rumble under the truck. can talk to passengers without yelling, but still sounds good had to test it so went bombing down the forest service roads. of course 25 mph speed limit is slow and i would never (wink wink) exceed the posted limit.
I picked up a couple coils out of a scrap pile. planning to use them as helpers to lift the back.stockers are flat w/ about 1.5 inches to the stops. still debating whether to put them around the bump stops or to truss the axle and put them over the diff to encourage articulation.
Hmm... now that i see it in type, over the bumps would be alot easier, quicker, less down time, earlier testing:D hope to finish that in the next month before it gets too cold/ wet to lay in the gravel. gotta remember to take/ post pics.

well just got done with 3 days of hard wheeling. Dakota territory challenge. rolled one jeep and totalled it. he had a great attitude about it and kept wheeling. windshield, cowl, roll bar and bent the tub.

second day, lady fell down and dis located her elbow about 10 miles from any road. rough ride out I felt really sorry for her. she is ok, got it put back in.

third day nothing bad happened..

so was an awsome weekend of wheeling.

Charlene led a trail that she had only been on once, I had never been on it.. she did AWSOME... I didn't think we could do it well... but she led it like she had driven it 20 times. about 5 miles long and she only need help two times. one was a slick log that you slide side ways on. up hill about 35 degrees and side ways about 30 degrees. pretty tippy to start with... She really impressed me. course my camera took a crap. on off on off on off.. click click click.. till the battery was down.. hard to take a picture like that even with it pulled into the charger it would just not work. shait.

the jeep.

the rock that broke in half and started the roll is by the back wheel.
we had just stoped him to have him back up a little bit as his front wheel was getting into the wall. he was not moving at all and had settled into place. the rock broke and over he went.

he did an awsome tuck and duck, he stayed in place with seat belt on untill we got around 6 people to hold the jeep in place while he took off his seat belt and crawled out.

used 4 winches to get him back on his wheels.

my mcgiver suction system, two vacuum lines into a bottle, one for sucking the oil out of the intake and cylinders and the other hooked to the inlet side of my york compressor, using my air hose with the ends removed to give us more hose.
sucked so hard that the bottle collapsed.
sucked out over a quart of oil. you can see it in the gallon jug. we tried it first and it just went totally flat.

yeh, no place to winch from pass side. so ran out the cable on the jeep to a snatch block, then ran my rope through the block, he pulled up his cable to get the angle. I need a second truck hooked onto mine so I would not slide forward. a third winch to control the roll back over.

it worked... then the guy with alot of adrenaline going didn't want to get back into the jeep to drive it off the rocks.. so we used the winches to bring it down the rock pile. once the adrenaline wore down he was very cool as in nice about the whole thing. And went on wheeling the rest of the week end.. as it was Trail Rated after that!!!

just THANK GOD HE HAD HIS SEAT BELT ON... HE TUCKED AND DUCKED JUST PERFECT... AND HE WAITED UNTILL WE HAD ENOUGH PEOPLE TO STEADY THE JEEP WHILE HE CRAWLED OUT. It was getting ready or just on the boarder line of going all the way over, top and other side. It all happened so fast,, but seemed like 5 min.. like a dream where you are running through something thick.. just could not move fast enough.

as it happened I was so scared for his head, then I was scared for his leg, those jeeps have a space on the left for the left leg, I thought his leg was trapped between the jeep and the rock... thank god that was not the case... He was not injured in any way..

bad thing to say, kind of... but it was an awsome, text book tuck duck, roll.

and a big thanks to all the guys gals that ran up to steady the jeep. I was not going to let it crush him, and no way I was going to stop it alone.. big thanks to every one that didn't think and just jumped in.

not to laugh at the guys bad luck..

but in picture number two of the roll over I notice that the jeep logo on the safty blanket is all so up side down.

man that was lucky he was not hurt.
he did a great job of the tuck and duck. didn't stick his arm out or anything. just grabed the wheel and tucked in for the roll. pretty awsome job.

oh shiat how did you do that?

I was thinking since I am going to have the transfercases out. welding a plate over the front and rear parts of the mount. but after seeing this I am re thinking that.
I see that you also used two mounts..

I hope you can tell me as I am going to start working on them tomorrow.

lol.. both trucks will have a low low of 223:1, with twin sticks in the rear case for two wheel drive low low.
should be pretty wild.

Seems slow, not much action, been a long time since I've been here. Just bought a T100 4whl beater that I want to get up to speed. First went to 4x4 Wire because they have a specific T100/Tundra forum but its too slow so since the T100 shares a lot of configuration with Runner and Tacoma got the idea to come back here and will stick around hunting for the help action.

So slow, I can't figure what happened? This board used to fly. Last year I was a diesel freak and spent a lot of time on Ford and Dodge diesel forums, they moved along at a fast pace. I've got a clutch coming out right now on a T100 thats unfamiliar to me so i'm going to try for advice from Wire and here to see how it goes again.
