Is Ford Ignition for 4.9L six good?

i keep reading posts about the jeep ignition upgrade to the ford inline six 4.9L ignition components....what is good/better about those ford components? is it more powerful/consistent/ or durable than wells,or OEM? if it is, i want it until i rebuild my AMC 360 this summer. it's a nice day, time to hit the trails..thanks for the advice, have a great jeep day:)
