I've been doing business with 4whardware for about five years and have not had any trouble until the last few months. Maybe its just me, but I made an order last friday and had all kinds of trouble with them. First they couldn't get my order straight (I always have the part #'s ready) then the saleslady copped an attitude. But I figured they were having a bad day and eventually got my order straight. Then today I get a call when I get home from work that my credit card didn't go through which I know wasn't right. So I called my c.c company just to make sure everthing was cool, and it was then called them back. Well, appartenly they put the wrong # in and they wouldn't be able to get the order out tomorrow until I talked to the salesperson. I told them that I needed the part soon (spring plates) and to cancel my order, I would have to order from someplace else. The sales lady told me this "fine....click". I have never never had any trouble with them and they have always been great and thier products are great too. But this was the second time in the last couple of months that this has happened and I don't think it was me. Has anybody else had the same sort of trouble? I just got my new quadratec catalog in the mail so you can quess who I'll be ordering from!

Never had a problem, I have always been the most pleased with them, and Turner 4wd. I should have an order here this wednesday... we'll see if it is correct.

I've done most of my business with Quadratec. I ordered some stuff recently and the packing was terrible heavy stuff with small breakable stuff some stuff broken. The lady that took my order thought that PS pressure hose and PS return hose was Passenger Side instead of power steering. They fixed it but I wasn't that impressed. I haven't been that impressed with Q'tec's regular sales either. Their customer service is outstanding though.

Can you fix it?
I got a welder and a grinder. Heck yeah I can fix it./wwwthreads_images/icons/cool.gif

Sorry to hear that. I placed an order last friday and had no trouble. The sales woman was very good and even called over to their technical dept. to find the answers to some questions I had. She was good about making sure the orders #'s were right and she repeated my credit card number back to make sure it was correct. I would say you just got a bad sales rep-maybe you should complain to the company?

I ordered my flexplate, and some power steering hoses for my CJ 7 yesterday before lunch. They suggested I use fed ex for shipping. This saved me a dollor or two. Then to top it all of, i got the package today before lunch, anout a 24 hr turnaround. That is impressive. I have spent some money there in the past, ad they will continue to get my buisness. I have never had a problem.

I'd suggest getting the sales persons name or badge number next time anyone orders from 4wd hardware. This way you have some way of reporting this person to management, which Im sure would be interested in knowing about these rude sales people.

That which does not kill me only makes me stronger (or dumber).

I ordered some stuff from them on Saturday. No problems then and no
problems in the past. They have always been good to me.

I've been doing business with them around 9 years. I have had only good experiences with them. I'm sorry to hear that you had trouble. I understand how you feel about rudeness. I know everybody has bad days, but I won't put up with an attitude when I'm giving them my business. I wish you had called back and asked to speak to a supervisor. I've done it before and it has gotten positive results.

I've never had trouble with 4wd hardware. When I order through the mail the orders usually get to me early. My 80 some year old grandmother has ordered stuff from them (for me for Christmas) a number of times and she loves the customer service. Next time you have trouble get the name of the salesperson and talk to a supervisor. Also from what I hear the original owner died a little while ago and one of his friends took over the bussiness, but this info could be wrong. I will have to check with one of my mechanic friends that knows the family (I live about an hour away from their store). This could have caused a change in bussiness pratices. I don't know why you would have had a problem.

It must be just me, but I called quadratec today and order some stuff and they were outstanding. I thought about asking for a manager but I didn't catch the salesladys name, and I'm not one to complain. I might give it a month and try them again or when I need more parts. One thing though, when I was talking to the saleslady it almost seemed like she was in a hurry. I don't know, but it bums me out. I've always heard good things about turner four wheel drive, but being from michigan quadratec and 4whhardware always gets here in a couple of days. I quess I'll have to start listening to the salespeoples name. thanks ken

The only problem I ever had with 4wd Hardware is their sticker. That darn thing melted to the windshield. That's about all of the ttrouble I've ever had. The salespeople know about what they sell, and my mom can even order from them. I have only ordered one thing from Quadratec, it came on time and all, but the sales guy was a littler hurried. Comparatively though, these two companies have about 4000% the customer service of any other genre of sales. They are both great companies who treat people right.

I doubt you need the salesperson's name, if they pull up the order it should be on it. Call and talk to a supervisor.
