Is anybody driving the ProComp YJ coil spring lift? What about Warn\'s?

Just got word that ProComp re-released their YJ coil conversion lift. Apparently they doctored some of the problems that the original had. Has anybody heard anything about this lift or installed one on their Jeep? It's a lot cheaper than the Warn kit and if it performs similar to the Warn, I may consider getting one since it's about 1/3 the price. I'd just like some 1st hand testimony from somebody other than the vendor. And one more thing: Will a YJ get better articulation with this ProComp kit than the typical TJ with a 4" lift?

First, I don't believe the ProComp system IS equivalent to the Warn system in performance. Last I heard, the ProComp system is ramping at about 1000 (a respectable number, comparable to a TJ with the swaybars disconnected), whereas my Warn system ramped at 1250 with 15 lbs in the tires, and 1200 fully inflated.

I think what it comes down to is what you plan on using it for and how much change you have. If you plan on real serious wheelin where articulation is critical, and you have the cash (or in my case, credit), go with Warn. Otherwise...

I emailed the author of the above link and he gave me his webpage which has more details and some trail shots. It looks like a pretty good kit to me. /wwwthreads_images/icons/cool.gif

PS He also said that his rear springs had started to sag and Pro-Comp sent him new ones for free. Maybe they're trying to change the industries view of their customer service.

I am thinking of going with Pro-Comps kit too. I was just about ready to order new OME springs when I saw the new Pro-comp CSC kit. Its not too expensive, pretty close to an OME kit, but the CSC gives more lift, better ride on and off road and ramps a 1000 or better !!(thats just what I have heard). I am still trying to find some "real time" users of this kit before I go for it. Every mag says it is a great kit and easy to install. I am sure its not quite the same as Warns kit, but that kit is a little to extreme for me, not to mention the $$$. I am going to give it another couple of months to see how its working out first and then I will prob try it on my 89 YJ and move up from 31's to 33's. BTW it is required to install a SYE kit when installing the CSC kit which will add about $500. to the $1500. price of the CSC kit.
Let me know if you find anything out.......Herbie
