Mike..can you do me a big favor and post this for me? Maybe you or someone else can help me out, if
they have been thru this before. Thanks!

I changed computers and now I cannot post or reply to posts on the BBS. I enabled cookies and
everything, and I an using the same email account. When I log on it takes me to the my homepage,
and shows that i have PM's. When I try to click them I get this:

We cannot proceed.

Help! I am going thru withdrawal! I even tried creating a new name, but got the same reaction...

That's happened to me twice, and there was nothing I could do. It just went away after a day or two. I could still get on with the PC's at work, but the one at home wouldn't do anything no matter what I cleared, reloaded, whatever.

mine does that on a weekly basis like clockwork- usually after I clean out the trash, dump the useage track log, and clean the history-- the only way I can get back in, is to log onto hotmail, grab my old password, and paste it in.

I can type it in and its a no go- but if I hit hotmail , then cut/paste it in, it works every time.

I dont ask questions anymore...it just works.

I used to have that problem all the time on a couple boards. I downloaded Netscape for free, and couldn't be happier. Netscape is worlds better in everyway then IE.

Anyone that wants it, just go to www.netscape.com and download it.

What RacerBob said...

I had the same problems when I was using Internet Explorer. I downloaded Mozilla and now I have zero problems. It automatically refreshes, etc. I also added spysweeper software and cleaned up the 1300 or so spy cookies. I haven't seen a pop-up since.

Also - I'm a big fan of Kim Kommando. Go to her site for all of the latest free downloads and solutions to unpleasant web experiences. Kinda dig her last name too - figure she deserves the plug.

Mike....thanks bunches! For some reason I can post again. I did the refresh thing afterwards, and it is smooth sailing now ( for now anyway) Next stop: NETSCAPE!
