What are some simple ways to improve the handling of a 84 CJ7. I already have a front sway bar. Would adding a rear one improve street driveability ( even with a 4inch suspension lift)? I don't plan to rock crawl, or do serious offroading, but rather just playing in the mud, beach driving and normal street/highway use. Also is a shackle reversal worth the $200? I've heard lots of mixed things about it. What exactly does it do? Thanks

Make sure your front end is in good condition, properly aligned, (esp. caster). BTW, Sears will check it for free! your steering geo is good & bushings are in good condition. If you still have probs, look at your frame around the steering box for cracks. Long shackles or running the shackle bolts too loose on the street can contribute to nasty steering also. good luck
