I\'m bored, sold a toy, now need a new toy, ADVISE!

Hey whats up guys,

I sold my 87 RX-7 today, POS, now I have some dough to play around with (to hell with bills). I love the opne air of Wranglers, but they are too expensive, so enter the idea of a Sami. Now I know that it's unlike me haveing 4 Jeeps to go cross platform, but I found a semi-decent one for $300. All I want to do is take the doors off, do an spring over, and shackles. CUT the hell out of the fenders, and run 32's or 33's. Whatta ya guys think? Am I stupid for taking on a new toy? I would start playing with my Grand Cherokee, but I don't wanna mess up the daily driver, also all the problems that I have had with my Cherokee's front end and DW, would be times 2 with the Grand so it's not worth it to me.

I might, I just want something that I don't care about a lot. The care about my Cherokee ya know! If I ever crashed that I would cry! (seriously) I just wanna beat the SHAT out of something, it might as well be this right?

CJ front springs in the rear of the Sami, put the Sami rear springs up front. That with an SOA will clear 33s without much fender trimming.
J.C.Whitney sells good-quality replacement CJ springs that work well for this if you can't find any used.

Personally- I would do a VW Baja or rail-buggy. Usually much less expensive to get into, and going fast is fun!

Do like I did, I sold my ZJ and bought me a 00 Ford F250 Crew Cab diesel 4x4 with offroad package. It just cost a few dollars more and well worth it. Now I have a sweet around town vehicle and a killer tow rig!

If I had you bank roll man I would, but sales suck for the computer industry right now, I work at PC Connection, and my roll is getting a tad thin. I want something that will cost under $100 to lift 6" and a sami seems to be the choice!

Ya those were pretty huge! Ha, well thanks for the input guys, Stacie didn't take the idea very well last night, but to hell with it. I want a beater! I'll be making a few more calls today to find one. There was another one for $500 with 85K I'll see if that is still out there.

I can't tell you how jealous I am of that truck!! I went shopping for one last year and had one picked out and was ready to buy............right up until the guy said he could get me in it for about $600/month

Scram! Ha I had a feeling you might. Well I found a beauty last night, 95K 1 owner 70 year old driven. New tires, pretty much perfect, BUT A GOD DAMN HARDTOP! I want one so I can take the damn doors and top off, man was I pissed. Scram if you want one get that one (if you don't mind the hard top) it was $500 or b/o and in Mass somewhere. It's in this weeks want ad's man.
