I\'m back on the trails
Well I rode my YZ for the first time since my wreck. I went to Hollister Hills on Saturday. It was way too hot for me! The first thing I noticed is that the bike felt wrong. I replaced the bent bars with new Renthals, so all the levers felt like they were in the wrong place and the bars felt like they were never in the "right" position. /wwwthreads_images/icons/frown.gif We took off down the trails and I felt very cramped. My hip has grown very stiff. I need to hit the gym and do some squats to gain the movement back. So I stood for most of the time. I started gaining a little confidence, but dang it was hot. Well, the traction was terrible. It was like sand on cement. I went down while going about 15 mph around a right hander. The front end washed out and down I went. Ouch right on the bad leg. I was seeing stars, but I just wanted to get to some shade. I could through my leg over the bike so I had to start it from off the bike. What a drag that was. We got to some shade and drank all the water we had. It was just too hot to have fun. I'm glad I "got back on the horse," but I guess I was just hoping to go back on the moto cross track and start shedding. As it was I was on the easy trails and sweating. Dough! /wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif At least it is a start and I can start my bike. Just wanted to say I'm back on the trails! And that is a good thing. /wwwthreads_images/icons/cool.gif
