Actually I want them to "total" it!
I dont want them to "FIX" the frame, and I know it is bent /wwwthreads_images/icons/frown.gif
I took a bunch of pics of it at the wrecking yard, I will try to post them tomarrow.
Also if they do total it,
I am going to try and get them to give me back my wheels and tires /wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif who knows????

Hey, sorry to hear that. Glad everyone's ok. You shouldn't have a problem getting what you want off the truck, because we had a car totaled and we got to go in and take what we wanted from it (if my memory serves me right, i was like 9 at the time )

i'm pretty sure you can go and take whatever you want from the truck if its totaled out...at the very least, the wheels and tires. we did that when i rolled the other truck....headed down to the yard with fugly 4 steel wheels and .50 tires /wwwthreads_images/icons/laugh.gif

Glad to hear you and yours are ok. Sucks about the truck, but they're replaceable; family's not.
As far as taking your stuff off goes, most places are of the opinion that as long something close to stock is left when you're done, they don't care. When my Ramcharger got totaled, all I had to do to take my rims and tires was put four that "fit" on it. Keep us posted.

Good to see you back. Kind of feel funny saying that because I hang around allot but don't post much.

I hate to hear about the wreck, but glad to hear everyone is....well... ok for the most part. It's scary when you're talking about the wife and kids in some thing like that, but it sounds like every thing will work out. good luck with it.

hey that sux but atleast youre all ok when i totaled my s blazer back before i got my 90 ( right after i sent out the second payment and put on about 2500$ in accessories) the insurance company let me take my stereo speakers billet dash etc. they even covered the stuff that got got wrecked like my brushguard and hella lights . so you should have no prob

well that sucks for you man. sorry to hear about that. if they don;t elt you get the tires and what not, talk to them and see about getting it cheaply...you can still use the 1-ton running gear.

DANG Scoob the same thing happened to me and my Ram. The 23rd at like 20 or so till 1PM I rear ended a Nissan Mini-van. It was my fault though. I topped a slope that goes down and looked over at the gas station on my left (close to home, I know everybody who stops in there), well there is a little road beside that gas station and a car was turning with a mini-van behind it. You guessed it.... I looked back only in time to say "Oh $H**" to my girlfriend beside me and put my breaks to the floor. I found out a 2500 Diesel won't stop from 55mph in 20ft or less./wwwthreads_images/icons/frown.gif Damn trooper looked at my skid marks (around 20ft or so) and tried to accuse me of speeding when I told him I was only doing 55/wwwthreads_images/icons/mad.gif/wwwthreads_images/icons/mad.gif

But no one was hurt thank God. The person I hit had his wife and 2 kids in the van with him. His little girl was all the way in the back seat and I hit him hard enough (actually it didn't seem real hard) to have the left headrest of the back seat sticking out where the back window would have been/wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif I didn't have a choice though I couldn't go left because of the turning car, and I couldn't go right because of a drop off that would have caused me to roll my truck. But I got it back Friday with a new grille, hood, front bumper, no ticket, and higher insurance (no new #'s yet though).

I rearended a car in washington about a month ago, well a couple days before my birthday dec 1, and my insurance went up from 64-94 a month, that sux. then I got a speeding ticked a few weeks later. but the insirance doesnt know about it,

RMS the accident was the corner of 83rd Ave and Union Hills, I was northbound and they southbound (On 83rd) and there are two left hand turn lanes there the first car to get there on the inside lane stopped (Of course! because he saw a 1 Ton 4x4 comming through the intersection with a GREEN light. Then this chick came around from the outside lane and tried to scoot across in front of me (BAD IDEA!/wwwthreads_images/icons/mad.gif) the witnesses said she never even slowed down at the intersection.
To tell you the honest truth All I remember is saying "Oh $hit" I saw the car pull out in front of me, and I didnt even have enough time to hit the brakes, BAM!!!! I didnt know what kind of car it was until I went to the wrecking yard/wwwthreads_images/icons/shocked.gif
I went to the bodyshop yesterday ("Auto body solutions" 88th ave and bell, between the Lou Grubb Chevy dealership and the Saturn dealership) and took some more stuff from the truck. The guy there said he wanted to buy the truck if I dont want it back, So if the insurance company decides to fix it and pays like $6K he said I can collect that and he will pay me the differance between that and what I want for it, so that might be an option too. I have to wait and see/wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif
I bought my digital camera so as soon as I figure out how to process the pics I will post them /wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

Hey Scoob, nice to hear from you again. Sorry about the accident, hopefully your family recovers completely from it. It's no wonder the guy wants to buy the truck, if the running gear is still good it'd make for a great project! Put all that good stuff in a little jeep or something...

Hey where in Washington did you hit someone?! I lived there my wholelife up until last year (17 years)... I remember I saw a Tahoe hit a little rice car once.... Rear ended the ricecar.... Boy oh boy I bet the Tahoe wasn't going but 10-15 MPH and it smashed the rearend of the riceburner's trunk into the rear seats! And only bent the bumper a little bit on the Tahoe! Very fixable! So I will always stick with a big truck

I thought in 90 they had SFA's even up until 91 on the 1 ton trucks but I've never seen an extended cab in that body style? so is it ifs or sfa?

It's IFS on the ext cab and the IFS body style, if you have a 1990 1 ton CREW cab they were still solid axle and the older body style (Kinda weird uh?)

Like I told Shaggy, my truck doesnt LOOK to bad in the pics, because I had very little sheet metal damage, but the bad news is most my damage is under the truck, frame & suspension I also noticed that now the front axle is leaking! (It never did that before/wwwthreads_images/icons/mad.gif)

And the last two pics are ALL that really matters, everyone is alive and even still had christmas!
