IH carb for 258

If you sneak over to the IH bunch
you will see that they used our
beloved 258 I-6 in the binders.
They don,t have much nice to say about
it also./wwwthreads_images/icons/mad.gif
If you go to the above adress you will see
that IH used a holley carb on there 258.
Wonder if it would be a better carb than
a carter. Should be cheap if you could
fine one.

All the 258s I've seen in Scouts used a 1bbl carb. I don't know if they ever switched over to a 2bbl. I have never seen one in a late 70s
or 80 Scout II, I thought they stopped using them. All the late 70s and 80 Scout IIs I've seen used either the 304 or the Nissan diesel.
