I have an 89 YJ 4.2L and I believe the Ignition Module has died. The problem is I cant find the thing. The Chiltons manual says its under the battery bracket. No. Other people on this forum have said its by the coolant resovior, not there either. Does anyone know where else these things can be?

It is under the coolant overflow and/or windshield washer fluid bottle. It's tucked up in there good. If my memory serves me, the box is greyish and about 4"x5"

Look at the main wiring harness located on the firewall near the brake booster... follow the wiring that heads toward the bottles mentioned above and you should find your module connected to these wires.
