After I ride my quad for lets say 5-10 minutes, and stop and let it idle, it just studders and just shuts off. Can anybody help me with this problem?

i am pretty sure thats not the problem i am thinking maybe something with the intake or fuel valve

you should check to make sure that the idle is set high enough. If it is then try to set your high / low jets. These are usually in the area of 1 and 5/8s turns out from the seat. Lastly, you may need a new needle valve in the carb. Its not closing off totally and is allowing he bike to flood.
usually when that happens on a quad it is becuase the idle is set just low enough for it to carbon up and die. OR it could be getting too much fuel and flooding out. Once you let it idle off and die, pull the plug to see if it is wet or just normal looking...
If it is wet it is getting too much fuel and you will need to adjust the carb accordingly. If it is still dry and looks normal, then the idle may be set too low. What does the exhaust smell like? Kinda like it is running rich or too much carbon??

Thanxs AirBorn i will check the plug next time and pay closer attention to the exaust. Is it difficult to ajust the carb because I have really never pissed with it at all. My dad should be able to hes smarter than i am.

Okay...today i went out on a quick ride and let the bike idle and die...i pulled the plug and it was all carboned up and the inside of the plug was white...what does this mean and how can i fix it.
white is a bad bad thing....
if it is white it is most likely leaning out...thus causing the machine to be getting too much air and not enough gas.
If it is carboned up, is it carboned all over or just around the edge???
Sounds like the carbs need to be adjusted and the air mixture screw has been toyed with...try turning it in a 1/4--1/2 a turn...NO MORE then 1/2 turn...then run it again and check it...but ALWAYS remember how many turns back to original position...
when you check it this time, try a new plug and see how it runs....

if you turn it out, you will give it more air...that is not a good thing...try turning it in to allow more fuel and less air...that will make it more apt to be rich....

I think the problem was my air filter. I suffocated the engine. So i cleaned it out reall good and it runs fine. No just gotta order my pipe and kandn filter. Wish me luck

I know that now. What do you guys clean your foam filters with. I have two now so i can just rotate.
